Alzheimer Society Strategic Plan
Conach was engaged by the Alzheimer Society of Newfoundland and Labrador (ASNL)to facilitate a comprehensive strategic planning process to address growing servicedemands, demographic shifts, and funding limitations. The project involved extensiveconsultations with ASNL’s staff, board, and external stakeholders, as well as a review ofoperational documents and best practices from other provincial Alzheimer societies.The goal was to identify strategic priorities and develop a roadmap to strengthenASNL’s program delivery, advocacy, research partnerships, and organizational capacity.
The final report outlined ten strategic priorities, including rural service expansion, publicengagement, a provincial research strategy, formalized partnerships, and a diversifiedrevenue development framework. Recommendations included launching pilotcommunity support programs, hosting a biennial provincial dementia conference,exploring social enterprise models, and pursuing ISO certification to enhance servicequality. This project positioned ASNL to take a leadership role in dementia care andadvocacy across Newfoundland and Labrador.
