Conach Consulting worked closely with the Town of Stephenville to develop a forward-looking Strategic Community Economic Plan designed to strengthen the town’s position as a regional economic hub. Grounded in extensive community consultations, stakeholder engagement, and analysis of previous planning efforts, the strategy addresses key challenges such as infrastructure modernization, business retention, and inclusive economic growth. The plan outlines goals across three strategic pillars: municipal readiness and infrastructure, business attraction and promotion, and business retention and expansion, all supported by the proposed Stephenville Innovation Centre and a new Business Opportunities Development Committee.

The plan integrates best practices in rural economic development and positions Stephenville to leverage its existing assets—such as its airport, port, and industrial lands—while preparing for future investment and innovation. Emphasizing collaboration, the strategy promotes partnerships across the public, private, and non-profit sectors and prioritizes inclusive development, youth engagement, and newcomer attraction.
