Wooden Boat Museum of Newfoundland and Labrador Kit Boat Feasibility Study
Conach conducted a feasibility study for the Wooden Boat Museum of Newfoundland and Labrador on developing a kit boat based on the traditional Winterton Rodney. Using a TELOS framework and stakeholder input, the study confirmed strong local interest and market potential, recommending a phased launch starting in Newfoundland and Labrador. Key suggestions included integrating the initiative into the Museum’s revenue strategy, using digital marketing and live-streamed workshops, and extending seasonal operations—demonstrating how cultural heritage can evolve into a sustainable, innovative product.

ASETS Business Plan
The FNI ASETS Strategic Business Plan details the Federation of Newfoundland Indians’ approach to expanding employment and training opportunities for its members through the Aboriginal Skills and Employment Training Strategy. As the organization transitions to include the Qalipu Mi’kmaq First Nation Band, the plan addresses unemployment and workforce challenges across key sectors like energy, mining, construction, and fisheries. Emphasizing Indigenous participation in skilled trades and emerging industries, it proposes developing a labor force database, enhancing career counseling, and broadening training programs. Supported by partnerships and funding from government and industry, the plan focuses on building internal capacity, improving service delivery, and engaging members to promote sustainable employment growth and economic self-sufficiency aligned with regional labor market needs.
