BTSPCA Marketing and Financial Sustainability Strategy – Strategic Growth for Community Impact

Conach Consulting partnered with the Baccalieu Trail SPCA (BTSPCA) to create a three-year marketing and financial sustainability plan focused on growth and modernization. The project included a governance review, stakeholder engagement, and assessment of social enterprise and digital operations, identifying opportunities to boost awareness, fundraising, and efficiency. Key outcomes featured a phased implementation plan, refreshed branding, a targeted communications strategy, and diversified revenue streams emphasizing legacy giving and strategic partnerships. By addressing challenges in funding, staff capacity, and technology, and building on strengths like a strong volunteer base and successful thrift store, the plan equips BTSPCA to achieve long-term sustainability and greater impact in animal welfare across Conception Bay North.

CJAY Strategic Planning and Transition to Family Treatment Model

Conach Consulting guided the Charles J. Andrew Youth Restoration Centre (CJAY) in Sheshatshiu, Labrador, through a strategic planning process transitioning from youth treatment to a holistic Family Treatment Model. Engaging Board members from Innu, Inuit, and First Nations communities, the process aligned operations with cultural values and therapeutic needs, emphasizing CJAY’s unique, land-based healing approach. Deliverables included a SWOT analysis, stakeholder engagement plan, HR development priorities, and an implementation roadmap. Conach advised on operational restructuring, staff training, infrastructure for family accommodations, and enhanced digital communications, positioning CJAY as a leader in Indigenous family-based addictions treatment focused on sustainability, governance renewal, and expanded partnerships.

Organizational Structure and Sick Leave Use – Eastern Residential Support Board

Conach Consulting partnered with the Eastern Residential Support Board (ERSB) to review its organizational structure and address rising sick leave across 13 group homes serving residents with complex needs. The project involved analyzing policies, attendance data, and staff input to deliver updated organizational charts, job descriptions, a proposed HR Director role, and a data-driven sick leave management framework. Key outcomes included an evidence-based Sick Leave Review and Red Flag system for early intervention, alongside workforce initiatives such as enhanced onboarding, mentorship, wellness planning, and a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion strategy. This work aligned with ERSB’s commitment to community inclusion, positioning the organization to improve staff retention, reduce disruptions, and support future workforce transitions.

Eastern Residential Support Board Strategic Plan (2025–2028)

The Eastern Residential Support Board (ERSB) launched a strategic planning initiative to strengthen its role in inclusive, person-centered care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Conach Consulting led the process, engaging staff, families, and stakeholders to develop a three-year plan focused on six pillars: Leadership, Workforce Well-being, Quality Care, Digital Transformation, Community Engagement, and Financial Stewardship. Grounded in ERSB’s values of dignity, inclusion, and sustainability, the plan outlines clear goals, timelines, and accountability tools—including a Strategic Risk Register and performance dashboard. Key actions include trauma-informed care training, digital upgrades, and green infrastructure retrofits, positioning ERSB as a leader in innovative and equitable residential care.
